The York Pioneers celebrated Battle of York Day, 2013, by opening the Scadding cabin in Exhibition Place for a special pre-seasonal viewing by visitors. The cabin, built in 1794, was relocated there in 1879. http://www.yorkpioneers.org/cabin.html

Linda Kelly’s ancestor, Cornelius Flumerfelt, wrote the well-known folk tune “Bold Canadian” that celebrated the victory of General Brock and the York Militia at Detroit in 1812.
